Andrea F. Sobel, Esq.
It's a long story...
Andrea is a Colorado local! With an early background in theatrical performance, stage management, and the arts, Andrea shifted into studying molecular biology and neuroscience at CU Boulder. There, she cheered on the Buffs (and Ralphie!) and was a chairwoman in her sorority—all while balancing laboratory research for immune responses to alcohol and cannabis at the cellular level.
After graduating from CU with a degree in Neuroscience, Andrea set sights on Laramie, Wyoming, to study law—Go Pokes!
Moot court and philanthropy projects consumed spare time. She and a few other students resurrected the Blume Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and helped it grow from just eight members to fifty over three years.
Andrea also was a student attorney in the Civil Legal Services Clinic assisting under-resourced residents across Wyoming. Often working entirely in Spanish, Andrea assisted in custody issues, name changes, replevin actions, and translating many of the Clinic's documents.
Serious Appellate Practice
After a year-long interlude as an associate attorney, in 2020, Andrea accepted a clerkship with the Honorable Judge John Daniel Dailey at the Colorado Court of Appeals. During her (nearly) three-year term, Andrea drafted ninety-three opinions for several appellate judges. Many of them have been referenced by other courts hundreds of times. (Bonus: the Covid pandemic lead to the Supreme Court Library being relatively vacant for "light reading" and research.)
Andrea then was an associate attorney for a midsize firm in Denver, Colorado, focusing on litigation, estates, mortgage servicing, and anything she could get her hands on.
Now we're here!
By December of 2023, it was time to fly. Andrea isn't new to small business and creating something unique has been the goal for a long time. The proverbial shingle of Sobel Law was hung on January 1, 2024, and not without the help and support of many.
Outside of the practice of law, Andrea can be found traveling, befriending dogs, practicing yoga, and mysteriously acquiring more house plants.
